Having acquired a grand piano, classical concerts are now being regularly presented twice a month on Sunday mornings at 11:30.
Not only piano solos will be heard. This grand instrument will also accompany flautists, cellists, violinists, singers etc. Professional, well- established artists will perform in the evenings, whereas the brightest music students – future stars – will perform at lunchtime.
Although an art gallery as venue for recitals is not entirely unique, it certainly is the case locally. How wonderful to be surrounded by visual art while listening to aural or musical art. These are sensual and emotional experiences where different art forms are engaged in dialogue.
