This is a showcase of several artists/printmakers using various techniques such as relief, silkscreen, etching, monotype, lithography or even a culmination of several techniques to create their prints under the collective title Impressions on Paper. More than mere displaying the prints it also highlights the numerous capabilities the medium has to offer as a tool for creating and crafting a visual language.  The works on display are extensions of each artist’s body of work:  subject matter which they have chosen to convey through the medium of printmaking.
 
The term print usually evokes the idea of a mere copy. However, a fine art print carries a unique and rich story with a distinct purpose in mind. Whether the story stems from the production of the print or the little accidents which gave birth to it, a print can be so much more than just a single impression on paper.
 
Printmaking is the one medium that has always developed through the ages. Almost every printing technique was developed for commercial purposes. This was true until artists challenged the medium in pursuit of their own artistic expressions and created their own techniques. As this striking exhibition will prove there is no limit to the creative mind.
