An exhibition of paintings by Ansa Clacey
26 June 2015 to 18 July 2015
Walkabout:Â Sunday 5 July 2015 at 11h00
Ansa Clacey is a much-loved artist whose delicate paintings have a direct appeal that captures the imagination.Â
'Here / There’, her forthcoming exhibition, shows images of preciously collected memories luring us into an intimate world of domestic joys. A sinister black crow, an unassuming grey pigeon, a friendly dog and a fine old porcelain object caught us in a space where the expected and unexpected are perfectly juxtaposed. Ansa quotes Kafka to explain her works: "My art conveys a rumour of true things"’.ÂThe exhibition will be opened by Diek Grobler on Friday 26 June 2015 at 18h30 for 19h00.
